Funded Therapy Services (VAW/SA/IPV)

Our skilled and professional therapists offer fully funded counselling sessions for individuals (18+ years of age) who have experienced the impacts of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, or sexual assault. Our Funded Therapy Services provide counselling support to address safety, stabilization, and traumatic stress management related to these issues.

Brianna completed her MA in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, following her BA Honours in Psychology at Brock University. Brianna was previously a volunteer on the Crisis Text Line where she learned various skills regarding suicide risk assessment and safety planning. She also worked previously for an Indigenous non-profit where she engaged in mental health research and content building through a culturally sensitive lens. In Brianna’s time with Compass, she has worked in the Violence Against Women (VAW) program, gaining valuable knowledge and skills as a therapist, focusing on safety and stabilization of clients. Brianna approaches her client work through a strength-based and trauma-informed lens through the work of solution focused and cognitive behavioural therapy.
